Verdict for Saturday Night Fever 1999
Music :) :)
Story :|
After seeing Mamma Mia, I know how important it is for the story to go with the songs. An overdue congratulations to Miss Nan Knighton - Stage Adaptation.
Singing :)
Finally, a Tony Manero who has the look, can act, can dance and can SING.
This audience wishes that there will be another soundtrack CD with Ben Richard.
Both Simon Greiff (1998 cast) and Mark McGee (1999 cast) did a good job with the part of Bobby, but when it comes to selling a show-stopping song, 'Tragedy', I must say Simon did a better job.
Production/Scenery :)
May be seeing the show from a box and the from the front row, makes a difference. I found that the scenery looks more awesome from the front. Scenic Designer - Mr. Robin Wagner.
As for the leaflet - don't be lazy, think of something new, rather than copying the old design, learn from the Chicago campaign.

Great minds think alike, a new design for the ads .
July 1999
Dancing :) :)
Still faultless. Choreographed by Miss Arlene Philips (also Director of the show ).
Costume :)
Trashy good. Not my kind of clothes, but that doesn't mean Mr. Andy Edwards didn't do a good job in capturing the 60's mood.
Lighting :)
by Mr. Andrew Bridge.
Sound :)
Sometimes, it is so unfair to make a judgment on the previews. But really, the second time round, the sound was much better.
Acting :)
Nina French was great as Annette, so was Joanne Farrell as Stephaine.
