Verdict for Judy Garland at the Palladium

What a wonderful show to celebrate Judy's work. For those like me, who've never seen Judy live on stage, this is only a small fraction of what this legend achieved.

The show started off with a fantastic overture. Then, Lorna opened the show with a great rendition of 'Hello Bluebird' in stunning blue dress. Lorna's voice was brillant no wonder Judy said ' Lorna has more talent than all of us put together' and Liza said 'Lorna's voice has more range than mine and a better singer '.

Jane Horrocks who did a great job in 'Little Voice', sang 'It's a new world' from 'A Star is born'. Vikki Carr shows the audience what a pro is, when she sang 'How about me' and 'Rock-a-bye your baby'. Linzi Hateley lit up the stage with 'I could go on singing', as did Judy on her last performance at the Palladium.

It's good to see Mr Show Buisness, Max Bygraves, whom Judy gave a helping hand at the beginning of his career. The legendary Barbara Cook was tops, especially with the Gershwin tunes. Although Liliane Montevecchi did'nt get all her lyrics right, this French singer really really made up for it with stage presence. Sally Ann Triplett's 'You made me love you' medley was sharp and slick. A standing ovation for Sir John Mills and his touching tribute.

Larry Adler, who accompanied Judy when she was only young, told us a most funny story about the song, 'Over the rainbow'.

Lorna Luft and Vikki Carr sang 'Happy days/Get happy' as good as Judy and Barbara did during that legendry moment on The Judy's show Oct 6 1963. But to top everything off was Lorna's new song with the ORIGINAL 'Over the Rainbow' as the backing track. I swear, if Judy was there that night, she would be so happy to know that her fans are still there and she is still the number one supreme artist in this world.
